I’m a single parent and I’ve been making 72 hour backpacks for our family. This is one of the items I chose. I can’t say how well it works because we haven’t used it. It just arrived. What I can attest to is that shipping was fast. The packing was good nothing came ruined. All the bags are sealed, and the box was sealed. Perhaps when we do need this, I can come back and give a full review. Just by feeling it it’s what you would expect thin Mylar material … if you’re expecting for something heavy duty, this is not it. However. according to the packaging it’ll retain critical body heat. It’s durable and tear resistant. It’ll help as far as rain, wind and snow heat protection and it’s reusable..

Great product, easy to store until needed

Very happy with our purchase. It is wide enough to fit with a backpack on, but the backpack makes it a bit short to cover your backside. It is a decent length when worn on its own. Great size to keep in your car, emergency pack or hiking backpack. It is durable and easy to refold and reuse. I would recommend this product.

The poncho kept us dry and warm! It was great to be both dry and warm in the middle of a downpour over the part of my outfit that was covered by the poncho!

it is handy to always carry one of these. Can be a lifesaver anywhere we go. Very helpful piece of equipment especially to carry on long summer hikes to save weight and space, instead of rain gear. And anywhere anytime if it is cold and/or rainy. I really like all the Mylar emergency products.

World has not ended yet so I don’t know how they perform but they look nice in the buyout bag next to my tinfoil hat.

This is a thin, mylar poncho style cover for emergency use. It is light weight but seems durable enough for an emergency. Probably one time use. The poncho hits me at knee level and fits comfortably (5ft 6 in man). A large person might find it a bit snug. I like the poncho design which allows for moving around but will also keep a mylar blanket on hand if needed for full length coverage. I have not used outdoors yet but the silver coating reflects body heat immediately when you put it on. I bought 5 to keep in the car for emergencies.
